Greece island Hopping Diary: Santorini, Paros & Athens
Share
The views in Greece are just as breathtaking as you'd imagine — if not more! Picture-perfect landscapes, cliffside sunsets, and the kind of food that makes you want to lick the plate. After our fast-paced trip through Egypt, this was the perfect destination to unwind, reset, and soak in that dreamy island energy.
Day 1 – Hello, Santorini!
We landed bright and early in Santorini around 9 a.m. and checked into Symphony Suites on the Fira side of the island. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle, it was the peaceful hideaway we didn’t know we needed — plus, the hospitality? Incredible.
After grabbing our rental car (a must for exploring), we found a little gyro spot in town — fresh, tasty, and just what we needed after a morning of travel. That evening, we had dinner at Barolo, perched on the cliffside with the ocean below and the sunset in front of us. The food was amazing, but the vibe? Unreal.
Style Guide: Bring a comfy set for spring in Greece! Our Wild Denim Set was perfect for this night out!
Day 2 – Greek Cooking + Beach Time
We started the morning slow and made our way to To Spitiko Mas, a Greek cooking class set inside a traditional cave house. It was hands-down one of our favorite experiences — full of laughs, delicious food, and good company.
Later, we headed to Kamari Beach, rented a cabana, and melted into vacation mode. The ocean was still a little chilly in early May, but the sun was shining and spirits were high. Craving comfort, we had dinner at Pizza Napoli, which lived up to its reputation as the best pizza on the island. I still think about that pizza.
Style tip: We love to spruce up our pool outfits! The more accessories, the better! We styled our Sea Shell Pearl Necklace and our Shell Drop Earrings together for the perfect beach day look!
Day 3 – Catamaran Cruisin’ & Iconic Oia
We hopped on a catamaran tour and cruised around the island, taking in the volcanic beaches and dramatic cliffs. The "hot springs" were more lukewarm than hot (you’ve been warned!), but floating in the Aegean was still so grounding.
That evening, we ventured to Oia — yes, the postcard-perfect village with the blue domes and whitewashed buildings. We wandered the charming streets and had dinner with a view. Pure magic.
Can always count on our Hamptons linen set for any boat ride in your future!
Day 4 – Off to Paros!
We boarded the ferry and made our way to Paros, a slower-paced island that instantly charmed us. After settling into our hotel, we dressed up and dined at Luaz — our best meal of the entire trip. We sat at a waterfront table, the sky pink with sunset, and ended the meal with a surprise dessert (a Greek tradition we fully support). The hospitality in Paros was next level!
Styled our Coastal Bell Sleeve Cardigan for this late night dessert trip!
Day 5 – Snorkeling... Sort of
We booked a snorkeling tour, but the weather had other plans. It was cold and windy, and though the views were beautiful, the water was better admired from the boat. Greece in early May means you’re rolling the dice with the weather, but we made the most of it.
That night, we grabbed dinner back in the village — but let’s just say it wasn’t a winner (RIP to my boyfriend who got food poisoning). Moving on...
Day 6 – Recovery Mode
We took it easy as he recovered, and I wandered around the town, caught up on a little work, and explored the local markets. A chill day can be a blessing in disguise.
Day 7 – Athens Bound!
We caught a quick 30-minute flight to Athens and checked into Acropolis Stay, a charming hotel within walking distance to everything we wanted to see. We loved being in the heart of the city where we could walk to dinner, sights, and shops.
Style tip: Our Spring Breeze Pants would be perfect for a stroll around the city!
Day 8 – History + a View
Our half-day tour covered all the must-sees: the Parthenon, Acropolis, Old Library, and even the Changing of the Guards at the Parliament building. It was a packed day but filled with awe-inspiring moments.
We wrapped up our Greece adventure with dinner at Dionysos Zonars, a romantic spot with sweeping views of the Parthenon. The food was divine and the setting was straight out of a movie. Next time, we want to visit the cliffside monasteries outside the city — definitely add that to your list if you’re heading to Athens!
Absolutely obsessed with our Summer Picnic Set! And it added that perfect pop of color at the iconic Parthenon!
Final Thoughts
Greece is everything they say and more — the food, the people, the views. I’d love to spend more time in Santorini next time, maybe stay in two different spots on the island for a change of scenery. But truly, you can't go wrong here. Greece is the kind of place that stays with you.
